Day: 1 | Arrival, transfer Sarova Stanley
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly met by our representative who will transfer you into the vibrant Nairobi. Spend the night at Sarova Stanley. Rest of the day is at leisure. Optional excursions to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or the Karen Blixen Museum with Giraffe Manor are available, please call for details. Centrally located in the Central Business District, Kenya’s first Luxury hotel - Sarova Stanley opened its doors in 1902. The moment you pass through the century old revolving doors, you enter another world, the heat and bustle of modern Nairobi left behind as you tune into the cool Victorian elegance. A spacious foyer, with its patterned marble floors, chesterfields, old clocks and ancient photographs all come together to transport you to another era.

Days: 2-3 | Shaba Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, you will head North, passing Thika en route, and drive through some breathtaking scenery. After Nanyuki town, you'll continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly short hop to Shaba National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge to check in for your two night stay in time for lunch, and enjoy an afternoon game drive. Shaba National Reserve is a protected area in Isiolo County to the east of the Samburu. The park offers breath-taking scenery and a rich diversity of wildlife. Its fame as the land of "Born Free" stems from the heritage of Joy and George Adamson, who nurtured Elsa the lioness on the grounds of Shaba in the 50's before setting the lioness free on the plains beyond.
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is located in a natural oasis in Shaba National Reserve and offers complete serenity amidst wild and beautiful surroundings. Day: 4 | Lake Nakuru
Travel south from Shaba crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237-foot cascade. Continue south to Lake Nakuru. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en route as you check in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Following lunch, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset. Set on a plateau along the Lion Hill, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is arguably one of the best accommodations from which to view the incredible Lake Nakuru and the thousands of flamingos that line its shores. An idyllic escape, the lodge is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and offers panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding National Park. Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park is the main attraction, bringing you not only to see the lake's flamingos and other abundant birdlife, but also the colobus monkey, the endangered white rhino and other wildlife like lion, leopard, zebra, gazelle, eland and giraffe. Alternatively, visit Kenya’s famous soda lakes that form part of the Great Rift Valley. The roads in the park accommodate all vehicles making self-drives a relaxing and independent way of exploring these surroundings.
Days: 5-6 | Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Njoro town, where you will begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then travel towards Narok, the gateway to the Maasai Mara. You'll travel across the 'breadbasket' of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Maasai Mara in time for lunch at Sarova Mara Camp. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset.
Sarova Mara Game Camp is ideally located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya and offers a unique African safari experience for game viewing. Every June and July, over a million wildebeest and zebra make their famous Mara River crossing to swap the Serengeti for the Masai Mara. The months of June to September sees the Mara plains flood with this influx of herds. But this is a place of mammal abundance all year around as not all wildebeest and zebra migrate. Most big cats stay put and protect their territory while they await the bounty of prey. Whenever you visit this famous reserve, you are guaranteed to see galloping herds of wildebeest, mass groups of zebra, and a wide variety of predators.
Day: 7 | Transfer Nairobi, Departure
After breakfast you'll depart the Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. You'll arrive into Kenya's bustling capital in the early afternoon. Once in the the city transferred to the drop off point or the airport for your onwards travel arrangements.
